De baanbrekende maar zelden uitgevoerde ‘Sinfonia’ van Luciano Berio is een waanzinnige muzikale collage die barst van verwijzingen naar Mahler, Ravel, Debussy en Beethoven. Ons huisensemble HYOID stort zich op de stemmen, gastdirigent Martyn Brabbins leidt Antwerp Symphony Orchestra in goede banen. En de internationaal gelauwerde Annelies Van Parys componeerde een nieuw pianoconcerto voor meesterpianist Jan Michiels, laureaat van de Koningin Elisabethwedstrijd 1991. Vocal ensemble HYOID throws itself on the vocal parts, guest director Martyn Brabbins leads Antwerp Symphony Orchestra in the right direction. The internationally praised Annelies Van Parys composed a new piano concerto for pianist Jan Michiels, Laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition 1991. A lot of grand names in one evening.
